Due to the unique structure of Safflower Oleosomes, the following advantages can be leveraged when formulating with Hydresia™ ingredients:

• Broad emulsification ability – Hydresia™ has an HLB range of 5-15, with an optimum range of 8-13. This allows for wide-ranging emulsification of most oil-phase ingredients in personal care and cosmetic products, without the need for secondary emulsifiers.
• Cold process formulation – Formula development using Hydresia™ is dramatically faster and simpler than traditional hot process methods. In a wide variety of product applications, Hydresia™ enables the production of finished formulations in less than 30 minutes at room temperature.

  
  Formulation Timeline Comparison Developing finished formulations with Hydresia™ ingredients take a fraction of the time typically required for traditional hot-process emulsions. One of our customers was able to reduce their production time per batch from 12 hours to 3 hours.  This results in energy savings of 2,500,000 BTUs - the amount of energy required to heat a Calgary home in the winter for two weeks!
